2. Surface cleaning and pretreatment

CMM measurement requires the measured surface to be free of stains or foreign objects. The adhesive property of Blu-Tack can be used to remove dust, debris, or residues (such as polishing debris) from the workpiece surface, improving measurement accuracy.

3. Auxiliary tooling production

In complex inspection projects, custom temporary fixtures or positioning tools may be required. Blu-Tack can be quickly shaped as a temporary tooling material to help fix irregular workpieces or fill gaps. For instance, it assists in establishing reference datums when inspecting box-type parts.

4. Equipment maintenance

The CMM probe and guide need to be kept clean. Blu-Tack can adhere to tiny particles (such as metal powder) and is used for local cleaning during daily maintenance to reduce equipment wear.
